Terminator III

Skynet has become self aware. In one hour it will initiate a

massive nuclear attack on its enemy.

Due to the events that took place in the second film judgment day did not occur. However still believing that it was not completely prevented John Connor has no permanent address, no credit cards, no phone and he is working freelance - in effect he cannot be traced through any systems. Skynet sends another terminator, the T-X, back in time, to July 24th 2004, judgment day. However on this occasion the terminators mission is to kill the human resistance's future lieutenants as Connor could not be located through any information databases. The T-X itself is more sophisticated than any of its predecessors, with advance weaponry and ability - and of course it takes the form of a female human rather than a male.

As with the last film a 101 model (Schwarzenegger) has been sent back to protect Connor and his future wife, Katherine Brewster. However it would seem that it was not Connor himself who programmed this terminator (as he is killed in 2032) but rather his wife.

Following the destruction of the Cyberdyne system in the previous film, the Airforce ad taken over the Skynet project, and this was headed by General Robert Brewster, Kate's father. In an attempt to stop a computer virus from entering their system the division activate Skynet, and Connor, Kate and the 101 model are to late to prevent this happening. The T-1 models located at the base quickly become self aware and kill all of the personnel, including General Brewster. However before he dies he tells Connor and Kate that the Skynet system core is located in a place called Crystal Peak, a military base built in a mountain. Of course whilst these events transpire the three have to fight of the T-X, which is always in hot pursuit.

As they are boarding a plane to leave, they are attacked by the 101 model, which had been taken over by the T-X. To avoid killing Connor, he shuts himself down. When they reach Crystal Peak, they are attacked once again by the T-X. Suddenly, a helicopter comes crashing through the front wall and into the T-X. The 101 managed to reboot itself and regain control. While the T-Xs legs are pinned under the helicopter, the only way to kill it is to detonate the Model 101's remaining hydrogen fuel cell......which it does.

John and Kate discover that the base does not house the Skynet core....but rather it is a fall out shelter for VIPs. General Brewster sent them there to protect them....ad there is no Skynet core. We learn that judgment day was unavoidable....and that Skynet has begun to launch nuclear missiles, starting the war of man versus machines. We are left with Connor answering the calls from confused military forces and independent radio broadcasters......he takes command and his leadership begins......
