Ginger Snaps II

My best-case scenario, Eleanor, is hair everywhere but my eyeballs, elongation

of my spine until my skin splits, teats, and a growing tolerance, maybe even

affection for, the smell and taste of feces

Brigitte, still around following the death of her sister Ginger in the previous film, is using monkshood to fight against the process of becoming a werewolf. She envisions an image of her sister telling her that monkshood is not a cure...it merely slows the process down. We next see Brigitte go to the library and the librarian, Jeremy, hitting on her. However she is too caught up in her own problems to notice and leaves....and the plot thickens when she senses the presence of a male werewolf, who it would appear has been stalking her. Just as she is about to leave jeremy appears with her library books which she had forgotten....however the additional monkshood causes her to cllapse and jeremy gets her into his car...althoug it isnt long before he is dragged from the car by the male wwrewolf...

She awakens in a combination rehab clinic for drug abusing girls and chronic care patients that is located in the only operational section of an old hospital. She fails to escape and attempts to convince the clinic's director Alice to release her, but to no avail. She does manage to palm a piece of glass so that she can measure her healing rate. Tyler, a worker at the clinic visits her at night and offers her monkshood in exchange for sexual favors, similar to what he offers the other young females undergoing treatments in the clinic....but she refuses.

Brigitte's healing begins to accelerate, and she slowly undergoes transformation. She starts to crave sex and murder. Ginger appears to taunt her for her urges, which were the same she had experienced. After Brigitte's hand grows a pad like a paw, she takes her shard of glass and holds it to her throat. However, she does not kill herself.

During this time, Brigitte's only friend is a young girl named Ghost, the granddaughter of her burn victim grandmother, Barbara. Yet by now, the other werewolf has found her. It kills Ghost's dog and Brigitte asks her where the corpse was found. The corpse was discovered in the old crematorium section of the hospital; upon learning this Brigitte says that she must get out and Ghost says she knows a way but that Brigitte must take her along in exchange for her help. Brigitte escapes to the abandoned crematorium by crawling through the vents following Ghost's trail marks. There, Brigitte meets Beth-ann who is high on drugs that she just received in exchange for sex with Tyler. Beth-ann is killed and dragged away by the werewolf. Shortly thereafter, Ghost arrives and says that the way to go is the same way that Beth-ann was dragged. Brigitte and Ghost descend into the basement and make a narrow escape wherein Brigitte's leg is broken by the werewolf.

Ghost drives them to a gas station, where Brigitte tends to her wounds. They go to Ghost's grandmother's house and sleep. The next day, they arrange for Tyler to bring monkshood to the gas station, but when Brigitte wanders inside she discovers the attendant has been slain. While she was away, Tyler had arrived and got Ghost's car. Brigitte dashes back and drives off. Back at the house, Brigitte's body rejects the monkshood and Tyler worriedly calls Alice.

Ghost tricks Brigitte into thinking that Tyler abused her. Brigitte locks Tyler outside, and he is killed by the werewolf. Alice arrives, and is mistaken for the werewolf and attacked by Ghost, who is wielding Barbara's shotgun. Alice and Ghost together take refuge in the attic. Brigitte's transformation is almost complete, when the werewolf enters the house. She lures him into a room, and, when Ghost distracts the werewolf by dropping something, Brigitte stabs him. The werewolf bites her on the arm. They struggle and after she repeatedly bashing its head with a curling rock, they fall into the basement, which has been previously arranged into a make-shift pungee pit using a set of mattress springs to hold a wide variety of sharp objects. The big question is....who emerges from the basement????
