Predator II

     There's your killer. Wonderful isn't it? Pheromone signatures left by his body.

              These are scent molecules.

 The film is set in "the near future" in Los Angeles. A vicious street war between rival drug gangs armed with military-grade weapons dominates the city. A gang war has erupted in the streets, with cops Leona and Danny Archuleta awaiting the aid of professional and hard-trained cop Michael Harrigan. After an intense firefight between cops and criminals, the injured are rescued from the crossfire, and the criminals withdrawing into a nearby building, where they have set up a supply area and load up for a final showdown with the police. A series of explosions rocks the inside of the building, followed by random gunfire. Harrigan investigates, only to find all but one of the criminals dead, with no apparent bullet wounds. The last criminal falls to his death, and Harrigan leaves the site with his comrades, but not before spotting a nearly transparent silhouette that appears to be a large person, which he disregards as an effect of the intense heat wave. Harrigan's crew determine that a new "player," armed with state-of-the-art weaponry has entered the Jamaican/Colombian drug war.

Back at the station, Harrigan is introduced to Special Agent Peter Keyes, leader of a federal task force investigating rumours that Jamaican drug lords aim to take over the West Coast from their Colombian rivals. Harrigan is also introduced to a star-transfer from another district, Jerry Lambert, whose carefree attitude coupled with his competence as a cop makes him a valued, if sometimes overbearing, ally.

Harrigan next ends up at a murder scene with a key player from the Columbian drug gang dead, and a prostitute repeating that the devil took him....and Keyes arrives - telling Harrigan he is in over his head. Harrigan and Danny return later to investigate and retrive what they think is some sort of spear tip....yet Danny gets killed from his troubles. Of course Harrigan is devestated and vows to appease his friends murder - and despite Keyes warnings he discovers that Danny heart was ripped in two and that this spear tip object is not of this world. He sets up a meeting with a Jamacain drug lord - who meets his end. As Harrigan continues to investigate and pursue Keys those close to him begin to die at the hands of a mysterious creature.

Eventually Harrigan's path crosses with Keyes - who tells him all about the Predator and his teams aims of catching it. They have been watching it...and have set a trap for it in a local warehouse...yet things don't quite go according to plan. People die and as the film nears its climax we see Harrigan and the Predator taking centre stage for their battle....but who will emerge the victor????
