Basket Case

       What's in the basket?..............My brother!

Duane Bradley arrives in New York City carrying a basket containing his deformed conjoined twin brother, Belial, seeking revenge on the doctors that separated them. Duane and his picnic basket check in to a run down motel, which is filled with drug users, prostitutes and alcoholics - and lets face it these 'types' are not going to notice if you have a man eating monster in a basket....

Duane feeds whatever is in the basket (we don't actually know what is in the basket yet...) a few burgers whilst he peruses a stolen medical file - they are of course trying to locate this doctor  The next day, our heroic duo makes a stop at one of those evil doctor's offices uptown. Before his appointment, Duane meets up with the receptionist, Sharon. After an extended sequence where Sharon thinks he's there to fix the typewriter, the two establish a rapport and make plans to tour around the city. Following Duane's brief flirtation he goes in to see the GP, and of course the doctor sees the huge scar and remembers a certain surgery he undertook many years ago....Meanwhile Duane knows he cannot do anything in the daytime and so plans to return to see the doc later that night. It is at this point that we get to see Duane's brother - and it doesn't take it long to kill off the doctor.

Problems begin to arise when Duane and Sharon start their romance. Belial doesn't like it.....and with the brothers telepathically linked the former does his best to put Duane off. Next we see Duane and the local hooker going for a few drinks and we begin to learn the history surrounding him and his bloodthirsty brother. Belial wasn't actually that evil at the beginning....yet the parents did not want this creature near there fully formed son (although they were attached at this point. On a fateful night Duane and his brother were subsequently dragged to an operating table and the operation began to separate them.

The brothers kill off the last doctor, so technically they've completed their mission and all should be right in the world, no? Wrong. While Duane is satisfied, Belial is still a little peturbed and he doesn't want to stop killing just because they've run out of people who've previously pissed him off. Meanwhile Duane has an erotic dream about this receptionist Sharon, and when he wakes he realises that Belial has gone (remember they are linked telepathically and Belial is a jealous sibling)....We next see Belial making his way across the city and position himself above Sharons naked body....he then kills her and commences sexual contact with the dead body....as you do.  Duane arrives too late...stuffs his brother into his basket and they flee back to the accommodation. They then grapple and both fall from the window.....will they perish!!!
