Stepfather III

Daddy's been working in the garden... again!

Surviving the injuries he sustained at the end of the second movie, the stepfather escapes from the institution he was placed in and seeks out a back alley plastic surgeon (Mario Roccuzzo) who alters his appearance. After the surgery, the stepfather murders the surgeon and relocates to Deer View, California, where he takes the name Keith Grant and acquires a job at a plant nursery.

Whilst working at the nursery, Keith grows attracted to divorcee schoolteacher Christine Davis and the two begin going out and ultimately marry, much to the annoyance of Christine's wheelchair bound son Andy who fancies himself a crime sleuth and is suspicious of Keith's past. Keith's relationship with the Davis's soon grows strained and when Andy makes the decision of going to live with his biological father; Keith, his new family falling apart, begins to secretly groom another divorced woman named Jennifer Ashley, who also has a son. Soon, Keith's boss Mr. Thompson (Dennis Paladino) finds out about Keith's affair, prompting Keith to murder him with rakes and uses his body as plant food.

Keith's plans to kill the Davis family and marry Jennifer are soon complicated when Jennifer and Christine meet and become friends, which prompts Keith to begin unraveling and commit more murders, turning the bodies of his victims into mulch. Believing he should just kill both the Davis's and Ashley's and move on, Keith, while attempting to eliminate Christine, finds an obstacle in the form of Andy, who had discovered who he really is.

While trying to kill Andy in the garden center Keith is knocked off a ladder and into woodchipper when Andy overcomes his psychosomatic disorder. As the wood chipper begins to shred him, Keith tries to drag Andy down with him, but the boy is saved by Christine, who pulls Andy out of Keith's grasp. Despite Christine severing the power cable for the woodchipper with an ax in an attempt to save him, Keith still dies, being completely hacked to bits.
