The Omen II

"Have no fear little one....I am here to protect thee"

We begin the second part with Bugenhagen talking to an associate about him being the only living person who knows the truth. He admits to giving the ells him daggers to Robert Thorn, yet by looking at a newspaper it is now the case that Damien has moved in with his fathers brother in Chicago. He gives the box to his friend and that he must take it to Chicago, yet first he will show him the wall that contains the four images of the anti Christ. However as they study it the whole thing collapses and that is the end of both of them!!

We then skip to seven years later, and he is now a teenager still resident with his uncle Richard, who is the head of the multi national Thorn corporation. We open with Aunt Marion threatening Richard, stating that she will leave her shares of the company to charity unless she splits Damien and Mark, his cousin, up. It isn't long before she spots a raven perched on her bed...and then she suffers a heart attack. Both Damien and mark have been enrolled in the Davidson Military academy, and its not long before we see Damian using his powers to see of a bully. However under the watchful eye of his new platoon officer, Sergeant Neff, who has more of an interest in him than the other lads.

Back at the Thorn corporation a young pretender, Paul Buher, wants to direct the company towards buying up land and controlling the food people eat..a sort of globalisation that will increase the power and status of the company. However he meets resistance from an older company member (Bill Atherton), and Richard decides to back the latter. When not dealing with work strife Richard has to deal with a reporter (Joan Hart) who has been working on a story which incorporates the work of Bugenhagen, and upon the discovery of his skeleton and various artefacts (including the wall) she tries to warn Thorn about Damien. However he doesn't listen, and when she goes to the military academy to see Damien she meets a rather messy end.

As the story unravels Buher approaches Damien at his cousin Marks birthday party and tells him that it is time to leave behind his childish ways, asking him if he is beginning to feel his destiny. He is further encouraged by his platoon officer (Neff) who suggests that he read the book of Revelation, which 'is about you.' Damien reads and understands, identifying himself by revealing the sign of the devil, 666, under his hair. Despite further warnings from people around him, who all mysteriously die, Richard remains ignorant until the death of his own son at the hands of the antichrist. Only when he sees the wall for himself does he truly believe, and rushes home to persuade his wife that they must kill Damien with the seven knives recovered by his now deceased friend. However with those around to protect Damien, and the fact that Richard's wife is not all that she seems, what hope has one man????
