Okay
so on day 3 of this 'monster quest' the team were walking
on the north shore of the Loch towards Invermoriston.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a dark shape in
the water and immediately took some pictures before
it disappeared. This was the closest the team had got
to achieving its goal of providing evidence that the
Loch Ness Monster exists.....
Upon
our return home this evidence was sent to no other than Adrian
Shine, a marine biologist who had studied the Loch for
many years. His response suggested that the image was
actually a 'boat wake,' and not the monster. Whilst
this is perhaps the most plausible explanation, it could
be argued that this is an image of the Loch Ness Monster....and
as an investigator I am inclined to belive that my picture
is the monster!!!! Mr Shines response was as follows.....
"Thank you for your pictures. They are a very good example of a portion of a boat
wake which suddenly becomes visible and apparently isolated from any vessel. In
this case the wave forms are from the further leg of the wake from the vessel
passing from left to right. If you look carefully, you will see a series of
curved waves behind the vessel. The dark waves appear on the outer fringes of
these."

The
mission, our first quest yielded not only a possible
sighting of the monster, but an awe inspiring experience
eof the natural beauty provided by the Scottish Highlands
and some of its Lochs. I will be returning there....I
hear Loch Morar has a monster.....
