"Your all doomed if you stay....god sent me.....got to warn you."

The story begins at camp crystal lake in 1958, when after a sing song two of the cam counselor's disappear for a little bit of extra curricular activity. However they don't even manage to get down to it...as someone they know (whom the viewer does not see) catches them at it and subsequently ends their lives.

The film then jumps to the present day, it is Friday 13th and we join a young girl called Annie who is looking for Camp Crystal lake. She stumbles into a local bar and sets about asking the regulars, who state that 'camp blood' should never have been opened again. These views are compounded by the local prophet of doom, Ralph, who states that if she goes there she will not return, adding that the place is cursed. However she doesn't take his advice, and catches a ride with a local. He tells her that the place is jinxed, wit two kids murdered in 1958, a boy drowning in 1957, and that since then there have been unexplained fires and attempted re openings of the camp that have failed. However the latest opening, orchestrated by Steve Christie, will also result in bad things happening.

At the camp Christie has six new counselors helping to prepare for opening, yet we see that somebody, or something is keeping a close eye on what's going on. We are then subjected to games of strip monopoly as the boss heads into town, although its not too long before our new counselors start dropping like flies. Even the boss meets his maker as he returns to the camp, and pretty soon we are left with one survivor, Alice, who is comforted by a visiting woman who claims that she too used to work for Steve as a cook. As time elapses we learn that it was her son who drowned whilst two counselors were having sex, and that he should have been watched by them. She tells Alice that today was Jason's birthday, and that he was her only son. It would seem that she wants all counselors dead, and that the place should never be opened. As Mrs Vorhees stalks her last bit of prey, poor Alice runs into numerous dead bodies before making it to the lake. I wont say what happens but we are left with Alice lying in hospital claiming a boy, Jason, tried to drag her into the lake, and whilst he wasn't found by the police, she maintains tat this boy is still alive!!!
