A Nightmare on Elm Street Part II

"I need you Jessie - we got special work to do."

Its five years since the terrible experienced by Nancy and her friends. Jessie and his family have just moved into Elm Street, number 1428, and for some reason he has been experiencing some strange dreams. His friends seem unconcerned, and (Ron) Grady even points out that 'some chick' was locked in a house by her mother when she went crazy after seeing her boyfriend by a maniac across the street. The house in question is of course the house in which Jessie lives in!!

In his dreams Jessie comes face to face with Freddy - who tells Jessie that he needs him as they have 'special work to do.' He adds that Jessie has the body and he has the brains.....so what exactly does he mean???

Meanwhile whilst unpacking his stuff and tidying his room Jessie and his friend Lisa find a diary, which turns out to be Nancy's. One entry describes a nightmare where a man with a steal claw and whose name is Freddy is trying to kill her - and from there Jessie begins to discover who Freddy is. He further realises that Freddy wants him to kill for him so that he can become stronger - yet his plot runs deeper in that he wants to possess Jessie's body!! As those around Jessie begin to die he knows that he must fight Freddy from within to defeat him....but can he do it????

Following the dark, sinister impact of the first film I felt that this was a very disappointing sequel - which actually turned out to be the worst of the lot!! However as a die hard Freddy fan I still had to add it to my collection.
