"Being dead wasn't a problem...but being forgotten, that's a bitch. I had to

                          find someone to make them remember......"

The film kicks off with Freddy playing the part of narrator, informing the viewer of how both he and Jason fit into this story. Freddy states how he used to be known as the 'Springwood Slasher,' but when he was burned to death he came back with the power to invade peoples dreams through fear. being dead for Freddy was never a problem (remember he came back in a variety of ways), but being forgotten....that was the 'bitch.' What Freddy needed was to find someone who could help the residents of Springwood remember, so that people would once again fear Krueger and give him the power to return. Of course the perfect person to do this was Jason Vorhees...and so posing as Jason's influential mother Freddy orders Jason to Springwood.....

What we must remember however is that Jason is a remorseless killing machine....and so when he continues killing (and thus taking all of those souls away from Freddy) there's a problem. Freddy only wanted him to kill a few and instill fear....but as he cannot control Jason he must take action to send Jason back....'These are my children Jason, go back where you belong'.....however Jason doesn't seem all that keen to leave!!

There are of course plenty of resident teenagers involved, but this film is simply stolen by the two main characters. Jason battles Freddy in the real and dream worlds, and the final battle is certainly something not to be missed. Jason is at his ruthless best and Freddy, although not as sinister as in a few of his better films, still puts in a compelling performance.
