The Hive, a giant underground laboratory developing experimental viral weaponry.
But there was an incident. The virus escaped and everybody
died. Trouble was... they didn't stay dead.
Following the viral outbreak in The Hive, the facility is shutdown, leaving all the infected Zombie scientists shut inside. The Umbrella Corporation reopened its doors letting the undead out into the nearest suburban area, Raccoon City. Within the space of four hours 40% of the city was infected, whilst those not infected were trying to fend off zombie attacks. The corporation attempted to quarantine the infected by setting up check points around the city, although Major Cain ordered all checkpoints closed, and those left had to return to the city.....
Meanwhile Alice wakes up in a local Umbrella hoispital....remember the first movie. Of course the corporation wanted her for experimentation, and she has been injected with the virus...which has given her speed, strength and dexterits. Upon leaving the hospital however the streets are deserted....so naturally she needs to pick up some weapons. Elsewhere Carlos Oliveira and two other Umbrella soldiers link up with multiple units and attempt to hold out against the zombies....but there are just too many!!!! Carlos and his mates soon realise that they have been betrayed by Umbrella....left for dead in an infested city....
Alice meanwhile picks up a few friends whilst fighting zombies, and they attempt to escape the city. However it si made a little more difficult by the deployment of Umbrella's latest project, Nemesis, who is directed to kill all umbrella units....Pretty soon the two gangs outlined thus far meet up..and Ashford (one of T-virus creators) has an interesting proposition for them - his daughters safety in exchange for extraction. However things don't go according to plan and Alice finds herself fighting against Nemesis
As with the last film there are plenty of twists and turns, particularly for Alice....although I would say that Major Cain certainly gets what he deserves......
