Childhood Memories - G'parents Home |
This was the secondary bedroom. The images of cars on the wall were those of my fathers/uncles when they were children. This room originally contained two beds that ran adjacent to the far wall. In the days that I was growing up duvets were not around, and so the beds were made with numerous sheets and blankets. I can recall sleeping in those freezing cold beds, and wearing some bed socks knitted by my grandmother. When my grandmother cleaned this room she would often find sweet wrappers under the beds - a result of morning/night raids by myself, my sister and cousin. Naturally I would maintain my innocence and blame other parties.
The last of the three bedrooms and barely room for a bed as I recall....Again note the wallpaper that's seems prevalent in most of the rooms!
